Choose the appropriate “Statutory Compliance” options, such as GST for India, and provide the necessary details.
Set the “Base Currency” and the “Accounting Method” as per your business requirements.
Select the appropriate “Fiscal Year Beginning” date and “Books Beginning” date for your company.
Set up the “Security Control” options, including the administrator password and user-level security.
Choose the “Features” and “Configurations” that are required for your company, such as inventory management, payroll, and banking.
Enter the details of the “Ledgers” and “Groups” for your company, such as bank accounts, expenses, and income.
Set up the “Inventory” details such as stock items, units of measurement, and stock categories if required.
Verify and save the company details. You can now start recording transactions and generating reports in Tally ERP.
It is important to note that these steps may vary slightly depending on the version of Tally ERP you are using. Also, it is recommended that you consult a Tally expert or refer to the Tally documentation for more detailed guidance on creating a new company.
